New Longer-Range Boeing 777 to Rollout with Goodrich Wheels and Carbon Brakes

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 9 -- Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR) has received FAA TSO approval of the wheels and brakes for Boeing's Longer- Range 777 aircraft. The initial shipset is currently being installed on the first aircraft, a 777-300ER, with the rollout scheduled to take place in November. First flight is slated for early 2003. Paul Snyder, Vice President Commercial Wheels & Brakes, commented, "We are very excited to participate in the rollout of the Longer-Range 777 - further demonstrating our leadership position on carbon brakes for long range aircraft." Goodrich has been a world leader in the design, development, and manufacture of commercial, military, regional, and business aircraft wheels and brakes for more than 50 years. It has created innovative braking systems for over 200 types of aircraft during this half century and has many more technological improvements in development.
